Renewable Energies Vermont

Vermont Energy Investment Corp
The Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) is a non-profit organization working to reduce the economic, social, and environmental costs of energy consumption through the promotion of cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. VEIC provides services for Efficiency Vermont, the nation's first statewide "energy efficiency utility," Residential Energy Services, Business Energy Services and Planning and Evaluation. As you strive to reduce energy use and its impact on our environment, VEIC is here to help.

Northeast Sustainable Energy Association
The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is the nation's leading regional membership organization focused on promoting the understanding, development, and adoption of energy conservation and non-polluting, renewable energy technologies. For more than thirty years, NESEA has facilitated and enhanced a network of professionals, practitioners, and other citizens in pursuit of responsible energy use. Our programs and activities focus on the Northeastern United States, from Washington, DC to Maine.

Composting Association of Vermont:
CAV is a non profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting all aspects of organics recycling. Their mission is to promote composting as an integral link between sustainable soils, communities, and economies. Everyone benefits when organic materials are recycled into products of value.

Biomass Energy Resource Center
BERC is located in Montpelier, Vermont and works on projects around the country to install systems that use biomass fuel to produce heat and/or electricity. Their partners in these projects have included schools, communities, colleges, businesses, utilities, and government agencies.

Foster Brothers/Vermont Natural Ag Products, Inc.
Vermont Natural Ag Products, Inc. is a family-run business based in Middlebury, VT and operated in conjunction with Foster Brothers dairy farm. Their products are formulated from cow, horse, and poultry compost from farms located in Vermont's beautiful Champlain Valley and are available from retailers and wholesalers throughout the Northeast.

Butterworks Farm
Butterworks Farm has been farming organically for twenty-five years and is totally self-sufficient. For over twenty-five years the owners have dedicated their lives to the ongoing process of nurturing the microbial life in their soil, thereby growing healthy crops for their cows and processing their milk into North America's purest and best tasting organic yogurt. Antibiotics, hormones, herbicides or pesticides, so commonplace in modern dairy farming, are not used at Butterworks Farm. Instead, they promote life and health at all levels. They choose not to participate in the gross commercialization practiced by the present day food industry and want to remain a small one-farm operation.

Shelburne Farms:
Shelburne Farms is a membership-supported, nonprofit environmental education center and National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain in Shelburne, Vermont. The farm serves as an educational resource by practicing rural land use that is environmentally, economically and culturally sustainable.
